What are the Phyto-nutrient Compounds in Cannabis?

Consuming Hemp Oil

Consuming hemp oil is simple.  If you are consuming an oil from a tincture, then fill the dropper to the desired level, place under the tongue for 1 to 2 minutes and swallow.  While under the tongue, the oil will begin to absorb into your blood stream.  After swallowing the remaining oil, your digestive system will break down the components and be dispersed throughout your body.
When taking a capsule or gummy or edible, just follow the recommended serving, but you may need to reevaluate the amount based on your needs and the strength of the product.  The dosage each individual requires is based on their need, and will be determined when consuming the product the first few times.  For instance, here are some things to consider while making your determination.  Consider your level of health, your pain tolerance, your environment, your diet, and daily stress and overall situation. Take note of the mg strength you are consuming each time and how often.  Do you need a low dose to meet your needs?  Maybe a medium dose would be more suitable, or possibly a higher mg dosage is required.  You will have to determine this by trial and error as you assess your own experience.  You may need to contact your physician for more guidance.

Hemp Strengths

Hemp oil products will vary in how you consume it and the strength of the product.  Although it is difficult to determine what will be a low, medium, and high dose of hemp oil, you may find that one of these strengths work fine.  Here are some examples.  For someone who is likely to be very sensitive to most medications, then a low dose may work just fine.  When discussing a low dose, normally you'll see something in the range of 1mg per serving up to and around the 5 mg per serving.  Although these strengths can be categorized in several schools of thought, one can make a determination on their own.   These numbers are not set in concrete, but often used as a guide in discussion of strengths.  To increase the dosage, more mg per serving is consumed.  Maybe 6mg or 8 mg or 10mg per serving could be considered a medium dosage for one person, but for another, it may be a low dosage or even a high dosage.  It could be that some people never need more than 10 mg per serving.  It is also true that some people must take at least 30mg per serving or higher each time it is consumed, or they may not get the desired results.  Just remember, consuming hemp oil is solely based on your personal needs and assessment.  So, finding the correct strength will take some time and making adjustments along the way until you reach the right strength to meet your needs.  

Most people will find relief with a strength of 1mg up to 30mg.  Hemp oils are normally sold with the total mg on the bottle, but you need to know the serving strength.  A typical tincture of 350mg should provide a strength of 11mg per serving for a full dropper.  A 500mg tincture serving will be around 16.6 mg per serving.  A 1000mg tincture will provide a strength of 33.3mg per serving.  

The strength of hemp oil can increase substantially.  It is safe to say that for most people, a super high dosage can be 50mg or more.  Some hemp products do exceed that strength, but that can be costly.
